About Kurt

Kurt Merriweather has worked in the intersection of business, marketing and technology for over 15 years.  He used this expertise to found Fitwell Training Solutions in 2003 with his wife Valerie.  He was Executive Producer for babyShape Prenatal Workout DVD and is managing distribution via Amazon and Fitwell Training Solutions company website.  Also an avid musician, he composed and performed all workout music for the DVD.

Kurt is currently Director of  Digital Media Business Development  at Discovery Communications (home of the Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet) and has held a variety of business operations, product marketing and product management positions at AOL (including AOL MusicNow), Silicon Graphics, Digital Island and Cable & Wireless.  Merriweather received his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.  He lives in the Washington, DC area with his wife Valerie and four children Kayla, Miles, Ellis and Reese.
